Our Purpose
Westwood is a part of a movement to recapture the church found in the New Testament in doctrine, life and spirit. We have no creed but Jesus Christ and no book serves as our guide except the Bible. We practice New Testament teachings of baptism by immersion of believers and observe the Lord's Supper each week as a witness to Jesus' death and a looking forward to His return for those who await His appearing.
Our local congregation is governed by the Lordship of Jesus Christ - through His Word, the Holy Spirit and appointed leadership within and by the congregation. We do not belong to a council of churches, but are free to join with those who honor and exalt Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We are seeking to develop a continuing program to meet the needs of individuals. We have Bible Fellowship classes for all ages on Sunday morning and small group Bible studies during the week at church and in homes throughout our county.
Our primary mission is to be a New Testament church that is honoring God by raising up followers of Christ in the greater Madison, Wisconsin area and around the world. Our commitment is accepting and integrating in the Body all the people God chooses to bring to Westwood. You are invited to become a part of this growing work for Christ!
